*I'm bringing sexy (blogging) back...*

Okay, I've decided to make an attempt to return to blogging. We'll see how long it lasts. As far as sexy blogging is concerned, I can't promise you that I will post any provocative passages. I just wanted to use a current, trendy song lyric* in my title, despite its lack of complete relevance or truth.

Identity with faith and politics

If you read on, you will see that I began this post nearly 9 months ago. Obviously, I never got back to this blog entry. I'm sure I had something really clever to say about Christianity and climate change.

Recently, in the news, Evangelical Christians have made a call to action on global warming. Also, sadly, politics reigned at the memorial service for Coretta Scott King. From the news coverage that I have seen, it seems that former President Bill Clinton was the one who appeared to be the most compassionate and undistracted by another agenda in remembering the life of Mrs. King and the woman that she was. I'm not sure why, but I was somehow surprised by that, though not upset by it. Anyway, I guess what I am really wanting to say is that even though I know King's civil rights activism often brought her to the forefront of the political arena, I don't feel that her memorial service was an appropriate time or venue to push a politcal agenda. Now back to the first issue mentioned in this post...oops! Gotta go! I'll finish my thoughts in another post later.

6-week high (not with drugs)

It is good news that the $ has made some ground back on the €, though it doesn't seem like much. My "Spring Break" trip was nice, but it was cut short and made very simple due to the beating that the € has been giving the $.

let me see that blog....that blog blog blog blog blog (to the tune of a certain song by Sisco....you know what it is)

On your mark...Get set...BLOG!
I've been instructed to blog...or repremanded for my lack of blogging lately. The truth is, I don't have a lot to say. Here's a tiny insight into what is happening with me lately.

I wasted pretty much the whole evening. I did get some necessary e-mails sent, but not much more than that.

Barca lost to Chelsea [the team, not Clinton] (4-2). Many people were really upset. I don't really care.

The art exhibit that I am helping to form is set to have its inauguration (or opening, perhaps better said in english) on April 15th. Everything seems to be going well with that at this point.

This week I have been helping my friend Vicente prepare for his English 1st level certificate exam which is Saturday. He asks me some interesting questions about the english language. He's going to do great on the exam (not because of my help, because he's good.)

Also, Saturday, we are hosting a dessert contest. We are charging a 5€ admission fee or 3€ if you bring a dessert. All proceeds from the event go to support tsunami relief efforts,
which I have found there is no good way to say in spanish.

ha nevado en bcn...it snowed in Barcelona!!

The trip back from Sevilla was a bit more stressful and complicated than expected. This was all due to the fact that the city of BCN and its airport are completely unprepared for snow. As stated in this article, more than 188 flights to Barcelona were canceled due to the weather. It's nice to be back in BCN again, though it's really cold! The city is putting a plan into action to help protect those without a home from the cold weather. The Agape retreat in Sevilla was great. I only wish it hadn't been so rainy.

Sorry this post is so scatter-brained. I'm worn out from this trip!

Madrid Post Office

While I was trying to figure out how to add photos to my newly created blog, I stumbled across this stunning shot. Below is the 1 photo while I was in the city of Madrid, Spain during October 2004. It's a photo of the post office. You can expect this sort of random type of posts from me in the future.

First Attempt

This is my first attempt at participating in the blogging craze. I like my friend Sara's blog so much, I decided to make one for myself. Once I mess around with this template a little and find out what I am doing, I will post more.
